Oakleys is situated in the tiny hamlet of Foxearth, a short distance from Long Melford, one of the great Cloth Towns of medieval Suffolk.
Long Melford boasts many interesting shops, pubs, restaurants and stately homes to visit. It is undoubtedly one of the county’s most attractive villages.
Oakleys has the benefit of a private, relaxing walled garden with 2 seating areas.
You enter the luxury holiday cottage through a small hall and into a large impressive dining room, boasting ancient oak beams and rich orange painted wattle and daub walls. There is even a cosy reading ‘snug’ built in around the front window, with a stereo system that has extra speakers in the kitchen so the cook gets to enjoy the music too.
The drawing-room has 3 sofas and a huge medieval inglenook fireplace with woodburner. Watch the TV or listen to the sound system and relax in front of a cosy fire. Perfect for warming up after one of those long dog walks.
Take a seat on the pew in the garden room. An ideal spot for relaxing with a coffee and a good book or watching the many birds that visit the garden.
